Appendix

'Golden Slippers' is a tune that's really easy to learn - if you don't know it already. It is an old gospel or minstrel number and has words: the chorus (the 'B' part above) goes "Oh, them golden slippers, Oh, them golden slippers, golden slippers I'm gonna wear because they look so neat. Oh, them golden slippers, Oh, them golden slippers, golden slippers I'm gonna wear to walk that golden street."
