ALAN LOMAX is the son of John Lomax, a number of whose books you will also find on this site. Alan like his father has done much to further the peservation of traditional music and this 1950 books chronicals the early days of jazz and one of its main developers, Jelly Roll Morton. The book also includes some sheet music and lyric samples.
