About This Book

The singing games in this collection were previously published in a small booklet called "Singing Games, Old and New". All of these singing games are of Scandinavian source, principally Danish, and many were recorded by Georg Bidstrup, who as a child growing up in Denmark, started to play them at the age of six. He brought them with him when he came to the John C. Campbell Folk School in 1926 to take charge of the School farm.

Sorry for the odd errors and weirdnesses you will find in my web version of this book. Scanning & OCR is difficult at the best of times and there were quality problems with the original for this book, anyway I hope what I have presented here will be of some use.
