THIS work discusses in detail the qualities characteristics and features of music from different regions of the world from the point of view of the professional musician. These special features commonly derive from the musical traditions of those area including its folk songs an culture. Students and researchers in this field should find this book a help in their studies. This book was post published posthumously in 1911 and it is likely that the actual manuscript was mainly researched and written between 1850 and 1870.
