Robert Burns Songs

About This Book
Robert Burns (January 25, 1759 – July 21, 1796) poet and a lyricist is widely considered the national poet of Scotland. Burns is also regarded as a pioneer of the Romantic movement and after his death, he became an important source of inspiration to the founders of both liberalism and socialism. He is a cultural icon in Scotland and and also among Scots in other parts of the world. He has been a major influence on Scottish music and many of his songs are the ones most commonly cited when describing Scottish music. This book of 500+ pages brings together the songs of Robert Burns with the melodies in sheet music form, for which they were written. This collection is an almost complete collection of all Burn's songs complete with bibliography, bistorical botes, and glossary.

Each year approaching Burns night (Burns Supper) on the 25 January I get requests for sheet music for Burns songs, this book I hope, will fill future requests. I also have to apologise for the odd errors and weirdnesses you will find in this text, which are due to the inherent problems of scanning and OCRing 100 year old books. I hope you will not find them too distracting.
