300+ Tunes & Songs With Sheet Music Scores, Lyrics, Chords & Midis

Old-time music or oldtimey music here refers to an American rural or folk music.
This collection of 300+ American old-time tunes and songs comes with sheet-music, MIDIS and lyrics. Old-time music has more emphasis on tunes and dance music than bluegrass, but like early bluegrass, is essentially American folk music - mostly from the 19th century. Many of these tunes have their origins in earlier English and European tunes, if you are familiar with folk tunes from the British Isles you may notice similarities between tunes from these different regions. The list of tunes/songs will take you to individual pages with the midi, lyrics and score for each piece.

Note that in England the term "old-time music" is usually applied to Victorian and Edwardian music-hall music which is generally considered to be unconnected to the music mentioned here apart from a few songs appearing in both genres.

His book The Phillips Collection Of Traditional American Fiddle Tunes is a compendium of 800 fiddle tunes in all the major categories of American traditional fiddle styles - hoedowns, breakdowns and reels - each entry is based on the playing of an outstanding fiddler (over 300 different players represented) with multiple versions of many tunes. Bowing, fingering and chordal accompaniment is also included. This collection is one of the few authoritative sources for this type of music available.
