Hungry Horse Acoustic Folk Club, Whitby Sports and Social Club, Chester Road, Whitby, Ellesmere Port,Cheshire CH65 6QF. Held every Thursday with guests.

The Nursery Folk Club, aka Accoustic Folk at the Nursery, meets on alternate Thursdays at 8:45. All who enjoy live acoustic music whether folk, blues or country are welcome to come along to sing and play. Or, just listen and enjoy a drink in this warm friendly club. The Nursery Inn is a lovely old pub with an excellent range of real ales. It is hard to find, being located in a quiet back street in Heaton Norris, but its well-worth the effort involved in finding it. Heaton Norris is between South Manchester and Stockport, just to the north of Didsbury Road. The Inn is only a short walk from the No 22 bus route. The club has been running since 2008, and we are one of the few outlets for folk music and blues, or indeed any form of accoustic music, in and around South Manchester and Stockport. We have many accomplished musicians on guitar, mandolin, banjo, whistles and often enjoy surprise visits from nationally acclaimed performers. The only constant, is that we all create a great evening's entertainment. So don’t be shy, you will be most welcome.See the what's on pages for dates.
