Terms & Conditions of Acceptance

I may occasionally take paid advertising for this and my other sites, the following are my general conditions for acceptance of such ads:

This is a family safe, authority site, on the subject of traditional music (from the western tradition). I prefer content that actually helps and informs my visitors and has some relevance to the site theme and adverts must be legal and moral and I may ask for changes before acceptance. This includes external pages linked to as well material actually hosted on my site, I also expect that such external pages should remain substantially the same as at the time of acceptance of the advert.

For direct ads(not via Google adwords) I require a minimum of 6 months, prepaid placement, I can accept payment in by Paypal in (Euros, UK Pounds or US dollars) or cheque drawn on a UK bank (UK pounds only).

It is expected that your advert is provided in its complete and final form, if changes and editing are required after the first two weeks of placement I may make a discretionary charge.

I will do my best to make sure the website and the page(s) with your advertisement are online at all times, however, due to the many factors outside my control, e.g. power cuts, network breakdowns etc, I cannot make any firm guarantees in this respect.

Technical Information

Traditionalmusic.co.uk has been running for nearly 9 years and is currently hosted by Midphase.com from Chicago in the U.S. You can see our stats from Alexa here: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/traditionalmusic.co.uk. I would normally expect around 10,000 visits and and 50,000 page views per day. The majority of my visitors come via Google, so to avoid their page rank penalty policy, which began in late 2006, I conform with their requirement to indicate paid and reciprocal links using the noindex, nofollow method. Most pages on this site are formatted to fit in with Google horizontal banner width (728px) so ideally your text or graphics should fit this.

Should you wish to discuss any of these matters you can call on (email for phone number - removed to avoid phone spam) I am based in East Sussex about 30 miles south of London in the GMT time zone.
