Orpington Folk Club Orpington Folk Music and Song Club exists to promote folk music and song. The Brighton Acoustic Folk Music Session Meets at The Lord Nelson, Trafalgar Street, Brighton on the first Monday of the month. It's an informal, round-the-room set up, with invited guests contributing two slots of four songs or tunes at the end of each half of the evening. Given that there is no PA setup, most of the regular performers have a folk / bluegrass / country background, whether performing traditional or original folk music material.

South East Folk Arts Network
The role of the south east Folk Arts Network is that of enabler: offering an information, advisory, co-ordinating and networking service to the traditional arts in the region. Folk tradition and folk practice of the south east are vibrant and varied. The area is a rich patchwork of festivals, concerts, workshops, dances, music sessions, clubs and - above all - involvement.

The group, whilst acoustic, does provide good quality amplification & they have their own dance 'caller' who will select dances suitable for the skill level of the dancers & will, as the evening unfolds, teach more complex dances.

Skimmington Ride Not so much a band, more a tradition, a group of musicians calling themselves Skimmington Ride have been playing folk music in pubs for something over twenty five years.

Hambledon Folk Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30pm in the Youth Club building in the Village Hall car park next to The Vine in west Street. There are guest performers most months, usually acoustic, covering a wide range of styles
