then bring the finger upward striking the strings
with the fleshy cushion of the finger.

The tremolo is used for continual strumming
sometimes called the "organ effect." With bent wrist,
shake the fingers quickly and steadily, but permitting
only the 1st finger to strike the strings. This is a very
effective stroke and you will find you can use it with
much shading and expression.
