Sung in 1934 by Mr. Henry Larabee, Kalkaska, who was born in Barry County, Michigan, in 1859. A rather confused eight-stanza text similar to A.
Contributed by Miss Florence Myers, Ypsilanti, who obtained the song from a lumberman in a camp on the Manistee River.
The story in this eight-stanza text is very similar to A, but there are variations in phraseology, such as*
"Look out, you tough young river hogs, this jam'll soon give way."
Communicated by Miss Florence Myers, Ypsilanti, who had learned the song from hearing it sung about 1905 in a lumber camp on the Manistee River. A text of nine and one-half stanzas very similar to A
