Installing Tune books from downloaded files. -------------------------------------------- Download all the parts into the same directory - your desktop is a good place so you can easily find them. Double click on part 1 (the one with ".exe" on the end). You will be prompted for a password, enter the one we emailed you. It is suggested that you copy and paste this direct from the email as it is a 20 character computer generated password with lots of funny characters in it. To do this highlight the password in the email and use Ctrl C to copy it, then place the cursor in the password request box and press Ctrl V. Once this is done the files can be installed. Installation can take a few minutes as there are several thousand files to unpack. The files will unpack to your hard disk to a directory called "TML" the full path is c:\TML. If you are installing the Noteworthy Composer collection the directory will be called "NWC" or JTT1, JTT2 etc for the Just the Tune Series. To run the tunebooks once installed you can navigate to the install directory and double click on the autorun.exe file or the shortcut to it which will have been placed on your desktop. CREATING CD's ------------- The downloaded files include the autorun and other files needed to create a self running CD. To do this burn a compilation of all the files and directories in the collection directory (either TML, NWC) into the root of the CD. Choose ISO as the type. Just the Tune Series CDs --------------------- To make CDs for the Just the Tune series you will need software capable of burning a mixed media or CDxtra format. With these formats the CD is split into two parts one with the data files the other for the audio tracks. Add all the files to the data section then also drag and drop the files with .WMA endings into the audio tracks section. Note that your burning software will also have to be capable of handling Windows Media Audio. For most burning software eg Nero there is a free plugin or add-on to do this.
