haste to gird your armor on,

and the eve of death's begun;

ere your fleeting breath hath fled,
so that when again he cometh,
Judge alike of quick and dead,
ye may through his wondrous love,
meet him in the courts above.
To whose glory ever living,
reigning o'er the realms on high,
with the Father and the Spirit,
One in Three eternally,
ye shall then with angels raise
songs and hymns of endless praise.
