OREM'S HARMONY BOOK
Scale of (?)
In the following Melodies, the Scale is indicated at the beginning, followed by a series of Roman Numerals, each Numeral indicating the Root of the Chord to be used.
The Figures 6 and * indicate the First and Second Inversions, respectively.
The Student must decide, first of all, upon the proper Bass Note to be used; then, write the Bass Note, and fill in the remainder of the Chord. This is fine practice.
Again, try to imagine how each exercise sounds, before playing it over.
Remember all the principles and suggestions of the foregoing chapters. All will be needed in working out these exercises smoothly. Be careful of the motion of the Bass part.
