The Drummer and His Wife
6   He went to feed the speckled pig That lay up in the sty, sty.
He hit his head agin' the beam, And the blood came trinkling down.
7   He went to churn the churn of cream That set up in the frame, frame ; And he forgot the pot of fat,
And it went up in the flame.
8   He went to feed the speckled hen, For fear she would go stray, stray; And he forgot the spool of thread She spun was to-day.
g The drummer told his wife that she could do more in one day Than he could do in three, three, And if she'd only take her place again, He'd never grumble no more.
