ROUND AND ROUND THE VILLAGE
Stand and face your lover, Stand and face your lover,
Stand and face your lover, As we have done before.
Kiss her 'fore you leave her, Kiss her 'fore you leave her,
Kiss her 'fore you leave her, As we have done before.
The children form a ring with one player on the outside, who runs around it while they are singing During the second verse they raise their arms and let her in the center, and she runs in and out between the children, trying to complete the circle before the verse ends. In the third verse, she chooses her lover and they stand facing each other until the fourth verse when they exchange a kiss. Then the game begins all over again with the first child back in the circle and the one who was chosen as the lower on the outside.
